An Interview with Caroline
How did you get to be a hypnotherapist?
I was so amazed at how quickly and effectively hypnotherapy was able to help me. It has completely changed my outlook, helping me to be more positive and successful in everything that I do. I was so inspired by the powerful simplicity of hypnotherapy that I decided to train to become a hypnotherapist myself so that I can help others to make positive and lasting changes in their own lives.
I love working with people and I am always amazed how hypnotherapy can turn someone’s life around for the better even when things appear at their very worst. I offer my clients a professional, caring and enjoyable approach, helping them to see the positives in their lives so that they can be the best they possibly can be.
A defining moment in my life came for me when, after 2 years of ongoing illness I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. After numerous tests and hospital appointments it felt like I was being written off. Determined not to sit back and just accept this I started seeing a nutritional specialist – he was the first person who listened to my symptoms and was able to explain what was happening in my body. At last – someone who recognised that I was suffering, could explain what was going on and start me off on the road to recovery. About that time I bumped into an old friend I hadn’t seen for a while. It turned out he had re-trained as a hypnotherapist and he was sure he could help me further. Here was the first person who could explain what was going on in my brain and why it was having an impact on my physical health as well as my mental health and could offer me help without it coming in the form of tablets. Very quickly I learnt that “you are what you eat” but also “you are what you think”.
What type of clients do you see?
People from all backgrounds and with many different concerns come to see me. You may have a very specific issue that you want help with from a phobia, IBS or OCD or maybe you just want some help being more confident or improving your performance at work or public speaking. Many of the people that I see feel they have lost control over some part of their life. If you’re ready for change then hypnotherapy could help you to take back control and live your life to your full potential!
What happens if I’ve never used Hypnotherapy before?
Hypnotherapy is a very relaxing and enlightening experience! I will help you to understand why you are having trouble and together we will set realistic goals to help you towards a permanent solution. I offer a free initial consultation so you can meet me and understand more about the process.
Are you different from other hypnotherapists?
I practice a modern approach called Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. This means that I work with my clients to create positive outcomes without dwelling on the past. This type of hypnotherapy has quick results and my clients tell me it is a very enjoyable experience.
Does hypnotherapy really work?
Yes! Not only do I have my own experiences and that of my clients to prove it but the benefits of hypnotherapy are well-documented. It has a proven track record of helping many psychological and physical issues. The NHS recommends hypnotherapy, as do many doctors, nurses, counsellors and many other complementary therapists and professionals.
What results can I expect?
My clients come to see me for many different reasons so the results will be different for everyone. Together we will track your progress throughout your sessions so you can easily see the positive results. Most people find they experience significant improvement after just a few sessions but some may take a little longer. Clients who are willing to move their lives forward get great results allowing them to move forward in their lives in a positive and rewarding way.
What’s it like working with you?
My clients tell me that their sessions with me are enjoyable and enlightening! Everyone is different so everyone’s solutions to their problems will be different. My aim is to help you find and focus on positive solutions that work for you. I believe it is really important for you to understand why you are having difficulties in order to ensure we come up with permanent solutions so that you can move forward in your life with confidence.
Do you have qualifications, professional membership and insurance?
